Cookie Policy

Last updated: May 25, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Zafeguard Inc. (“Zafeguard,” “we”) uses cookies and similar technologies on zafeguard.com and within our product surfaces. It supplements our Privacy Policy.

By registering for Zafeguard or otherwise using the Services, you acknowledge and accept the use of cookies as described in this Policy. If we materially update this Policy, we will notify you via the Services or by email; your continued use of the Services after the effective date of the change will be considered your acceptance of the updated Policy.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your browser. They can be set by the site you are visiting (first-party) or by another service the site loads (third-party). They may persist across browser sessions (persistent cookies) or be deleted when you close the browser (session cookies). Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, IndexedDB, and tracking pixels — we treat them all under this policy.

2. Categories of cookies we use

Strictly necessary

Required for the Services to function. These include authentication state, CSRF protection, and load balancing. You cannot opt out of strictly necessary cookies because the Services do not function without them.

Functional

Remember preferences you have set, such as theme, language, or recently opened workspaces. These improve the experience but are not required.

Analytics, marketing, and other non-essential cookies

No non-essential cookies are currently set by Zafeguard. We do not use third-party analytics or advertising trackers on this marketing site, and we do not embed pixels from Meta, X, LinkedIn, Reddit, or other ad networks. This Cookie Policy will be updated, and a consent mechanism will be added, before any non-essential cookies are introduced.

3. Cookies you may encounter

The following cookies and similar technologies may be set when you visit zafeguard.com or use the Zafeguard product:

  • __cf_bm (Cloudflare) — bot-management cookie set by our edge provider to distinguish humans from automated traffic. Session-scoped, strictly necessary.
  • cf_clearance (Cloudflare) — set if Cloudflare challenges a suspicious request; valid for up to 30 days. Strictly necessary.
  • Authentication cookies — set by the Zafeguard product when you sign in to your workspace. These keep you signed in between requests. Strictly necessary.
  • Preference cookies — remember UI choices such as collapsed sidebars or dismissed banners. Functional.

The specific cookies present in your browser may vary based on the features you use, your geographic location, and our infrastructure providers at the time.

4. Managing cookies

Most browsers let you view, block, or delete cookies through their settings. Helpful links:

Blocking strictly necessary cookies will break sign-in, security challenges, and other core features. Blocking functional cookies will reset preferences each visit.

Most browsers also support a “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signal. We do not currently process opt-out preference signals because we do not engage in “sale” or “sharing” of personal information and do not run cross-context behavioral advertising. Should that change, we will honor GPC.

5. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, for example to reflect new tools we adopt. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes (such as adding analytics or marketing cookies) will be communicated through the Services or, where required, with a consent banner before non-essential cookies are set.
